It is time again to let your spirit soar this 4th of July! We again supporting Hoosiers Helping Heroes on their endeavor to provide our deployed troops a sense of community and connection while far away from the United States. To find out more about Hoosiers Helping Heroes, click here. Come out and wear your best patriotic outfit and join us as we tour the streets of downtown Indianapolis.
Firecracker 6 came from a vision to not only promote health and fitness; but is to remind us of our history. On July 4, 1776 the United States Declaration of Independence declared independence from the British Empire. Forty years later in 1816, the state of Indiana, joined the union, becoming the nineteenth state. Now over two hundred years later, a new tradition is born, a 6 mile running and walking event for everyone to honor the birth of the United States in 1776 and the birth of the State of Indiana in 1816. It is easy to forget that our past has brought us to the present, so live each day thankful for all that you have been blessed. We look forward to starting off your 4th of July this year; see you at Indianapolis City Market for a great run, walk, or both!

Congratulations to ALL finishers - In the Six mile event, the overall winners among the men were Ben Ingram (33:10), Brad Robinson (34:28), Ryan Martine (34:40) and among the women were Sarah Overpeck (40:52), Julie Southworth (44:58), and Rocio Arellano (45:54). Our youngest finishers of the day were 9 year old Abby Allen from Bloomington and Maggie Hanner from Indianapolis. Our oldest finisher of the day was Arnold Sweet (76y) of West Lafayette, IN.
